To assist your clinical Providers in evaluating your condition for an effective treatment plan, he/she may order tests that require a blood or other body fluid specimen.  The Laboratory at UCVH is equipped with state of the art instrumentation which offers a wide variety of testing for this purpose.  

We are proud of our newly renovated department and are always happy to serve our inpatients and outpatients who require laboratory testing.  We are open 7a-6p, Monday through Friday; 8a-12 noon on Saturdays, and are available on call for inpatients and Emergency Room testing on Sundays, holidays, and evening/night hours.  We work collaboratively with a number of Provider offices who rely on us to get them accurate information about your test results in a timely manner.  As such, we have worked diligently on improving our electronic ordering and reporting processes so that this information is well communicated and coordinated.

We are CAP (College of American Pathologists) Laboratory accredited, which is an internationally recognized program and the only one of its kind that utilizes teams of practicing laboratory professionals as inspectors. Designed to go well beyond regulatory compliance, the program helps laboratories achieve the highest standards of excellence to positively impact patient care.
